Focus is delighted to hear news that the renovation and refurbishment scheme at Bridgford Hall has been named as a finalist in this year’s East Midlands fbe Awards.
The scheme was supported by Focus Consultants with funding advice, project management and quantity surveying services.
Completed earlier this year, the redevelopment involved renovating the Grade II listed mansion in West Bridgford, near Nottingham, to create luxury aparthotel accommodation as well as a civil wedding venue.
The £2.3million project received a £1.5million Heritage Enterprise grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and became the first completed project in the East Midlands to have received the grant.
Partner at Focus, Heather Frecklington, said: “It’s great news that Bridgford Hall has been shortlisted as a finalist in the East Midlands fbe Awards. The project is an excellent example of how a Heritage Enterprise grant can be used to refurbish a building and give it a new lease of life. Focus has been involved in the scheme for Bridgford Hall from the early days and we are delighted to hear that it has been nominated for an award.”
The scheme was put forward for the regeneration category of the awards by civil and structural engineering firm BSP Consulting and Robert Woodhead Ltd, who undertook the work.
The winners of the East Midlands fbe Awards will be announced at the Chairman’s Dinner and Awards Ceremony, which takes place on 12th October at the City Rooms in Leicester.
