Our Head Office needs a new client-focused Cultural Services Graduate.  At Focus we believe in our people and have a first-class track record of supporting training and career development, offering excellent prospects for progression.  This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre individual to join and strengthen our team.   Work includes options appraisals, feasibility studies, funding strategies, funding bids, needs analysis, research projects, consultation, business plans, economic impact assessments and project appraisal.

Key Responsibilities

You may have experience in one or more of the following but we will consider broader skillsets – it’s all about the right person. Particular duties that the right candidate might contribute to within the role include:

  • Presentation of research findings to clients
  • Reviewing of strategic and policy documents
  • Beneficiary and community consultation / focus groups / workshops
  • Carrying out demand and supply audits
  • Conducting needs analyses
  • Undertaking primary and secondary research
  • Delivering project and programme evaluations
  • Interpretation and analysis of research findings
  • Support in developing funding strategies
  • Assist in writing funding bids for a wide variety of programmes
  • Information and resource management
  • Support production of high-quality reports to tight deadlines
  • Assist in preparation of tender material for attending interviews
  • Project managing and supporting Economic Development consultancy commissions
  • Liaison and partnership working across the Cultural Services Team and the rest of the Focus business on joint opportunities

You will ideally have an interest or experience of heritage, arts and culture in a public or private sector environment and should be proactive, enthusiastic and ambitious, have good interpersonal skills, and be keen to learn and commit to further study.   You should also be educated to a good standard in a relevant discipline, and must be IT literate.
