A new, world class players’ village has opened at Devonshire Park to provide topflight facilities for women’s and men’s tennis. The impressive glass-fronted two-storey building was opened by the Mayor of Eastbourne, Pat Hearn, ahead of this year’s Aegon International which runs from June 23rd to July 1st. This March, members of Focus Nottingham Office have been putting their baking skills to the test to raise money for Comic Relief. We held two bake sales over the course of several weeks, where members of the staff produced a range of treats from brownies to cupcakes. The Malteser based incentive ‘Bake a million’ encouraged members of the public to post pictures of their creations on social media platforms, and Malteser would donate an additional £5. The very first residents have moved in to their new home at Trent Basin, one of Nottingham’s best located contemporary residential developments, and part of the £250 million regeneration of the Waterside area in Nottingham. Brian Wooding, and his partner Sue Flack, have moved into a three-bedroom, three-storey home on the newly created Portside Street, and were welcomed by Pete Conboy from Blueprint, the specialist regeneration developers of the Trent Basin scheme. A £402,000 refurbishment of the Theatre Royal and Royal Concert Hall box office is underway in Nottingham.  Focus Consultants are acting as Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors on the project and Nottingham based contractors, Robert Woodhead Limited, Architects Marsh Grochowski and Services Consultants HC M&E complete the local team.
