As part of their forward looking strategy, Focus Energy was requested to evaluate the British Horological Institute’s headquarters at Upton Hall, Upton, Newark.
Their overriding concern was that any future development work to the Hall and Museum was sustainable. Responding to this brief, we surveyed the Hall to see what energy efficiency measures could incorporated through fabric upgrades or replacement services, as well as evaluating which renewable technologies could be installed, and what energy subsidies might be available.
Our report considered budgets, government support such as Feed in Tariff and Renewable Heating Incentive and importantly the payback for measures. We are now retained for further evaluation work.
