Blue Street

Focus was appointed to provide Employer’s Agent, CDM Co-ordinator, SAP Calculations, Code for Sustainable Homes and Party Wall services on this significant Waterloo Housing Group project.

Planning permission was granted at the beginning of 2014 for the construction of 41 affordable housing units on a disused brownfield site on the outskirts of Boston town centre. Due to the high flood risk no living accommodation is provided at ground floor level.

Focus produced Feasibility Stage HQI Assessments scores for the HCA, who are part funding the scheme with Boston Borough Council.

Residents will benefit from Code Level 3 rated homes, where the energy requirement has been achieved through a fabric first approach.

Blue Street was constructed in two phases – 19 units were handed over in March 2015, and the second phase of 22 units was completed and handed over in January 2016.

Client: Waterloo Housing Group Ltd

Role: Employer’s Agent, CDM Co-ordinator, Code for Sustainable Homes, SAP / EPC Assessor, Party Wall Surveyor

Value: £3,920,000.00
