Southampton City Council commissioned a feasibility study in 2010 to explore how to use vacant buildings to celebrate the rich heritage of the City. This resulted in “Sea City” – an exhibition to tell the story of Southampton’s maritime history and commemorate the centenary of the loss of the Titanic in 1912. These will be followed by further phases of Southampton’s history and heritage.
Focus assisted the City Council with a successful Round I application to the Heritage Lottery Fund and we were appointed as project managers and to recruit the project and design teams.
Sea City is the recipient of a Civic Trust Award in 2013.
