SAP Conventions Update
As part of the continuing drive to improve the accuracy of SAP Calculations produced in compliance with Part L1A of the Building Regulations, and to minimise the effect of the ‘Performance Gap’, the Government has announced amendments to the SAP Conventions. The current SAP Conventions are now Version 8.2, and came into effect on the 1st March 2021. These changes also serve as a step along to the pathway to preparing the industry for the changes to Part L proposed to come into effect in June 2022, and the Future Homes Standard currently proposed to come into effect in 2025.
