Bridgford Hall – A Heritage Gem Restored

At Focus, we take immense pride in having worked with clients over the past 30 years to preserve and enhance key architectural heritage sites across the UK. A testament to this commitment is one of our standout projects Bridgford Hall. A Grade II Listed building located in the picturesque West Bridgford Park, south of the River Trent in Nottingham it holds much historical significance.

The project not only carried out essential repairs but also sought to serve the community in new and exciting ways and breathe new life into the historical building through enhanced wedding facilities, creation of luxury serviced apartments, a new reception entrance, private courtyard and improved accessibility.

Focus were appointed to provide comprehensive Business Planning, Funding Advice, Project Management, and Cost Consultancy support for this National Lottery Heritage Funded project. With a successful track record of securing NLHF bids and a strong working knowledge of their requirements, we were able to guide the client to achieving a successful outcome regarding funding.

Heather Frecklington, lead partner on this project reflects, “I have always seen bid writing as being about telling a story and taking the reader on a journey to understand why a project should be supported and there was such a great story to tell with Bridgford Hall.  Not just from the perspective of the heritage of the site but the challenges of finding a new use for the Hall and the range of efforts the Council had undertaken to secure a new use – there was just really strong evidence of the need for intervention.  We were delighted to secure the funding and for Bridgford Hall to be the first Heritage Enterprise project to be completed in the East Midlands.”
