As a result of the recent Future Homes Standard (FHS) Consultation, the government is consulting on a new method for assessing the energy performance of dwellings. The Home Energy Model (HEM) is proposed to be introduced in 2025 alongside the Future Home Standard. This will replace the current Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) due to the inherent limitations it has to accurately model low energy dwellings and new technologies. For more information click here
