Volunteering day at the Ruislip High School Careers Fair
At Focus, giving back to the community and inspiring future generations is at the heart of what we do and is something we encourage across all levels of the team from our senior leaders to our apprentices and graduates.
Recently, our Apprentice PM, Kaelah Kavanagh, took full advantage of her volunteering day by representing Focus at the Ruislip High School Careers Fair. As a member of the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network and in collaboration with The ASK Programme, she shared her first-hand experience of apprenticeship life. From explaining the opportunities apprenticeships provide to answering students’ questions.
Kaelah also served as a fantastic role model, inspiring students—particularly young women—to consider a career in construction by highlighting the varied and exciting roles that this sector has to offer. We’re proud to see Kaelah stepping up and making a positive impact.
Kaelah shared her thoughts from the experience ‘Helping at the Ruislip Careers Fair as an apprentice was a very rewarding experience. It was amazing to share my journey of working within the construction industry and the benefits apprenticeships offer with the students. It’s great seeing them taking such interest in the exciting opportunities available.’
