I started with Focus in October 2015 as a Graduate and was delighted to be promoted to senior level in December 2023. As a Chartered Building Surveyor in a busy team, I am fortunate to be involved on both new-build and refurbishment projects where my key inspection skills help ensure, not only adherence to building requirements, but also a high standard of finish to ensure client satisfaction.

I particularly enjoy building strong client relationships and sharing my knowledge and expertise in various fields including; defect diagnosis, updating large-scale fire plans and running maintenance programmes for new kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors and electrical upgrades. I am very proud to be working on several new-build projects that seek to comply with Future Home Standards, contributing to a sustainable future and reducing energy bills for residents.

Working at Focus provides many opportunities for career progression and with such a varied workload, there is never a dull day in the office – from undertaking a property condition survey one day, a measured survey the next and then resolving a Party Wall matter the following. The most rewarding part of my job is receiving positive comments from the client, contractor and residents upon successful project handover.
