I started at Focus in October 2017, after graduating from University of Nottingham with a Masters in Sustainable Energy with Entrepreneurship, and was promoted to senior level in January 2023. As an accredited Level 5 Non-Domestic Energy Assessor, with formal training in using IESVE software, my work focuses on Building Physics, Planning and Compliance and comprises detailed 3D modelling and dynamic simulation analysis of buildings, to test their operational energy and overheating risk against the latest Approved Document O.

I further support the Assess team by working on BREEAM credits for Low and Zero Carbon Technology Feasibility, Operational Energy, Passive Design and Overheating Analysis for multi-residential and industrial buildings.

In a fast-growing industry where our clients are increasingly aware of the benefits of sustainable design on our planet’s health, it is vital that we work together to realise a cleaner and greener future. At Focus, we are fortunate to work closely with Design Teams at the project outset thus helping improve the energy efficiency of the building and reducing its carbon emissions.
