An area that has seen significant development in the last 20 years, with hundreds of new homes being built, one of the key items of contention has been the provision of community facilities such as play areas, community centre, and essential amenities such as a local shop.
Focus were appointed to create community facilities and retail units on the gateway to the new Blenheim Grange housing development on the former RAF site. The local centre was to be of contemporary design, in keeping with the new development, and a gateway and amenity for the growing community.
Focus also carried out the role of cost consultant, delivering it on time and within the client budget.
With input into the design by the local residents’ association, the facility provides much needed space for local groups such as Sure Start and the parish council and is a welcome replacement to the shipping container that had been used previously.
