Focus were appointed as the Client Representative / Employer’s Agent, to administer the contract, review and certify payments, and check site works against specifications. To meet planning requirements, certain plots needed to meet the Lifetime Homes standard. As all house types were taken from the Persimmon Homes affordable range, with extra storage as well as electrical services to meet HQI minimum services provision, Focus reviewed the drawings to ensure layouts were practical.
Following the successful completion and handover of the first 53 units, there were some changes to development required when taking the Outline Planning Permission to Reserved Matters Planning Permission.
As a result, we negotiated a revised phasing and handover sequence, adjusting the Golden Brick Payments accordingly, and issuing a Supplemental Agreement to the original Development Agreement to enable the scheme to move forward. We are now working on the delivery of 67 units.
