Focus were appointed to deliver a number of services on behalf of Vistry Partnerships new Embankment building, featuring 92 one- and two-bedroom apartments for private rental on behalf of Birmingham City Council. The development is located in the city centre, offering great access to nearby amenities, including The Mailbox shopping centre and a selection of bars and restaurants.
Focus were initially instructed to complete thermal bridge calculations to understand and improve the overall energy performance of the building. The calculations completed by Focus’ ASSESS department ensured that the overall building fabric designs were more energy efficient, reducing the comparative operational costs and providing a more comfortable internal environment for the resulting occupiers.
Air Leakage Testing was also included in the suite of services offered by Focus on this development. The overall build programme for the 92 apartments was demanding, with all to be handed over within 2 months. Aspiring to the client’s needs, Focus delivered air leakage testing to all properties within the timeframe, to help avoid delays in the handover process.
