Focus was appointed to provide EPD practitioner services, generating a whole life carbon assessment for Saint Gobain OSS’s Roofspace brand. Our service was for the generation of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for the Roofspace i-Roof composite roof panel.
I-Roof is a product with multiple constituent parts, so our EPD process included full support for data gathering across all component parts defined within the scope of the assessment. The process challenged the client’s supply base to provide full value chain data, which we supported through our robust data collection process.
We worked closely with the client and ultimately the verifying body, concluding with a hosted EPD for use within the industry. The generation of product EPD is critical if we are to truly identify built environment whole life carbon emissions and Focus is pleased to be part of the solution.
