Focus were appointed by developer Jaynic and subsequently the principal contractor, Parkway Construction, to provide BREEAM Assessor Services for this exciting new development on the edge of Haverhill.
As we were employed throughout both the design and construction phases, we were well placed to provide advice regarding the impact, on the BREEAM assessment, of specification changes as the project developed, and achieve credits associated with early RIBA stage actions.
The project set and met ambitious targets under the Materials and Waste sections. Low life cycle impacts of the building’s materials and a waste generation rate of less than 3.2 tonnes per 100 m2 of floor area meant that almost full credits were achieved under these two sections.
Focus provided regular updates on progress for the design and post construction stage assessments, to ensure the project team felt engaged with the process.
