Focus has worked with EBRI to develop compelling business cases to secure funding and to evaluate the effective delivery of EBRI projects. Both supported the development of a regional bioenergy supply chain and the promotion of innovative bioenergy technologies as a means of enabling local companies to identify business and value opportunities, trial technologies or processes and to diversify into new products or services.
After securing EU funding for the project Focus was appointed under the ESPO Framework to provide a longitudinal evaluation and provide:
- An analysis of how the project was delivered and managed
- A consideration of the outputs and the expected lifetime results
- A review of the strategic and policy context
- Consultation with beneficiary businesses
- Consultation with the project delivery team and key EBRI personnel
- Engagement with project partners and stakeholders
- Economic Impact Assessment – to understand the economic benefits on the West Midlands’ economy.
