Focus were appointed for the refurbishment of the existing 1980s built Geoff Moulder Leisure complex in Boston, owned and managed by the local authority.

As Lead Consultants, Focus appointed the design team, including the structural engineers, and mechanical, electrical, and public health engineers.  We also directly undertook the roles of building surveyor and designers.  The brief was to redesign the main entrance and changing facilities and refurbish all interiors. Energy performance was improved by replacing the mechanical and electrical installations and introducing a new Combined Heat and Power Gas boiler.

The project sought to raise revenue generation through increased use as a result of the improved facilities, combined with reducing outgoings through lower running costs from the overhauled plant, providing an overall improvement to the bottom line.
