In rural Southern Lincolnshire, Heydour is extremely isolated and for many residents, particularly the younger and older generations, the Parish Hall is the only accessible source of recreational, leisure and social activities.

Focus helped the community to secure £500,000 from the Big Lottery Fund with match funding from WREN, Lincolnshire County Council and South Kesteven District Council. Focus assisted the Parish Hall Management Committee from the initial project concept through to writing the application to the Big Lottery Fund which was one of the first ever successful applications of the Reaching Communities Buildings Programme. Focus were retained by the Management Committee as their lead consultant through the project delivery phase. As well as funding and business planning advice, Focus provided a wide range of services from needs analysis, project scoping, architectural services, cost consultancy and development of the capital development plan.

The facility provides a meeting room, storage facilities, kitchen, bar area and changing areas for events and outdoor sports.
