Newfield Dairy had been a thriving dairy farm for many years when it decided to diversify through the expansion into an ice cream parlour and café.  The Ice Cream Parlour and Café were designed and created to ensure that everyone and everything was catered for. Ample on-site parking, wheelchair access, bike racks for cyclists, a tractor themed playground, toy box for small children and even a “drinking station” for the dogs outside.

Focus were appointed BREEAM assessor on the construction of a new large open plan facility in rural Nottinghamshire – adjacent to the farm producing the raw materials for the ice cream.  Focus provided advice and support during the design and assessment, to achieve a final BREEAM Retail rating of “Good”.

With views reaching over the Nottinghamshire countryside, the timber clad low-rise building is sensitive to its surroundings and incorporates a wood burner inside to ensure the building is cosy all year-round.
