Focus successfully helped Mareham le Fen Village Hall Committee to secure £500,000 from the Big Lottery Fund’s Reaching Communities Buildings Strand to replace a 100-year-old tin and timber hall with a modern, more central facility.
Focus assisted the Management Committee from the initial project concept through to consulting with the community and securing the Big Lottery Fund award. Focus provided a wide range of services from needs analysis, project scoping, architectural services, cost consultancy, support with funding applications, business planning and development of the capital development plan as part of the Big Lottery Fund application. Focus were then retained as the lead consultant delivering the building of the new hall.
The new centre has three spaces available to cater for a wide variety of uses in various configurations, as well as a large well equipped catering standard kitchen, accessible toilets, and underfloor heating throughout.
