Nottingham Pre-Start Community Enterprise Centre is a ground-breaking project which aims to maximise the potential of pre-start and start up SMEs within the city. Nottingham suffers from relatively low rates of business survival, particularly in disadvantaged areas and this project sought to address this issue.
Enjoying a close working relationship with the respected business support provider, NBV, Focus were appointed at the initial concept stage and managed the complex funding campaign alongside NBV. Funding was secured which included £2.8m grant from the European Regional Development Fund. Focus were subsequently appointed as Lead Consultant and BREEAM Assessor for the development and delivery stage steering the project to successful completion.
The Centre has affordable office space on flexible rental terms and access to high quality on-site business support. Since it opened its doors, it has provided vital support to fledgling businesses and entrepreneurs from across inner city Nottingham.
