Since joining Focus in 2007, I have worked on a wide variety of projects, both commercial and residential, throughout the country. I have undertaken various roles, from technical Building Surveying, including Condition Surveys, Report and Specification Writing, AutoCAD Design and Party Wall Advice, to Sustainable Construction Advice for Part L compliance, BREEAM Assessments and Energy Audits. My sustainability project portfolio includes assessments of large residential developments for housing authorities and private developers, alongside new healthcare and retail facilities.

It has been exciting to work on a number of varied regeneration projects, including individual refurbishments such as Marble Hall in Derby (the former home of Rolls Royce!) to ongoing area transformations like Trent Basin in Nottingham.

As a BREEAM AP I have a keen interest in working with design teams to develop integrated strategies incorporating sustainability and renewable measures into building designs from an early project stage. I enjoy working on whole life projects, from concept to completion, liaising with clients, developers, local authorities and contractors. I can appreciate the complexities of projects from the client perspective, but also work well with contractors, taking onboard all project risks efficiently and professionally!
