Options study to look at the feasibility of reconfiguring the ward to optimise space and provide enhanced facilities.
Pediatrics Department
The two-phase redevelopment of the Pediatrics Department. Phase 1 consisted of creating interim accommodation for the existing department to decant into. Phase 2 was the refurbishment of the existing accommodation and a new 3 storey extension providing additional consultant rooms and office space.
Ophthalmic Clinic Refurbishment
This project comprised the alterations and refurbishment of existing accommodation to form consulting rooms for Ophthalmology, located within the body of the existing hospital.
Pathology Refurbishment
The alterations and refurbishment of the existing accommodation to provide new pathology facilities, including histology laboratory, cut up rooms, ventilated tissue store and associated offices. The project involved working within the confines of an existing operational hospital, including phasing of the works to enable the existing Pathology Department to remain operational.
Mortuary Refurbishment
This project involved the complete strip out, alterations and refurbishment of the existing mortuary to provide a new mortuary facility.
