The Nottingham Girls High School Performing Arts Centre is a new build development near Arboretum Park in Nottingham, adjacent to the existing Nottingham Girls High School Sixth Form Centre. The centre has seating for approximately 275 people and is suitable for both theatrical performances and cinema with associated facilities over three floors.
Focus were appointed to carry out full Quantity Surveying services from inception to completion, providing value engineering and specialist insight into lighting, audio and acoustic needs for the auditoria. We focused on capital costs, life-cycle costing, energy / carbon / sustainability issues and revenue cost mitigation, all balanced against the need to regularly update systems to modern innovative standards.
The centre can adapt to several different seating styles and floor plans through the use of floor lifts and top-end technology, so that it can seat hundreds of people or smaller audiences, and cater for any kind of performance event, from musical or spoken word.
