I head up our Economic Development team, based in Nottingham, undertaking feasibility studies, options appraisals, impact assessment, writing business cases, preparing funding bids, appraising applications for funding and evaluating projects.  I love the diversity of projects we work on including education, community, sports, business growth, research and development, technology and many more.  I also enjoy working with our diverse range of clients from local authorities, local enterprise partnerships and universities to private sector businesses and voluntary and community organisations.

I particularly enjoy writing funding applications, with the challenge of selling a project vision, demonstrating the need and articulating the impact potential, whether that be economic, social or environmental, to give each project the best chance of success.  Other areas of interest include undertaking Green Book compliant business planning as well as using these skills to complete funding assessment and appraisals for local and regional regeneration partnerships.  After working for local authorities in the Economic Development and Funding Teams, I joined Focus as a Consultant in 2002 and have been a Partner since 2015.
